Internet Explorer

Microsoft's answer to Netscape in the Browser Wars. Any version up to (and including) 6 is not W3C standards compliant (which, of course, does not mean it isn't a de facto standard). Rumors of security holes on it are, sadly, far less serious than the actual truth.

Sadly, all the intranet corporate sites I know are designed solely for using this junk.
