The editor I stopped using a long, long time ago, for three reasons:
- It doesn't come installed by default on all UNIX machines (which happens to be a good thing)
- It's bloated as hell - a fact only disguised by the fact that Linux distributions have gotten so big it's only 10% of a minimal install that includes it.
- There's a Usenet newsgroup called alt.religion.emacs (and it's a very old newsgroup).
I am now one of the truly enlightened, and see no real reason for going back (although it's scary how I still remember some key bindings).

- Aquamacs, a native Aqua build by David Reitter
- Versor, multi-mode cursor navigation.
