Brain In a Box

What can you say about a freely available cognitive research platform that happens to have Python bindings, run solely on Linux and Mac OS X (for now) and is being developed by Jeff Hawkins's new venture?

If I had time, I would be so all over it... My interest in all things related to AI has been piqued, and HTM seems to be an interesting field... But alas, there is plenty to do in real life these days.
