Okay, okay, I'll try to brighten up and post some news commentary. But that's only because you asked for it.

  • Yes, yes, we all know will be out on the 29th already. It will probably take ages to surface over here, so I'm going to take a deep breath, wait for the first upgrade reports, and then try to get mine at leisure. Quite honestly, I have a lot of other things on my mind right now, but the lack of support for current phones is likely to be a major downer for me - the only saving grace is that their -like Remote Desktop software seems to be bundled in, at long last restoring parity with on the remote access front.
  • 9.3 is due to be released on April 18th - I'm actually quite curious about this, since so far the 9.2 Live CD was the only that allowed me to do proper painless power management and suspend on my . And by proper I mean by setting a checkbox. No apmd voodoo, no ACPI hassles - it just worked, which is as it should be.

And speaking of , I would like to extend a special compliment to Paul Thurrott. You can't spend all your time posting anti- news items, one after the other, without the sort of commitment and devotion that makes you stand out as a true supporter. Heck, I wish I could be that devoted to a single vendor.

But then again, I try to stay truly unbiased. I've no trouble owning up to the fact that I once considered applying for , and that I would not mind considering them again (or Sun, or Novell, or whatever).

After all, It's not about the software or hardware you use - it's how you use it to change the world, one bit at a time.

Let me go twiddle some bits to relax, then.
