VisualHub was an intriguing video transcoding application that was probably the best Mac tool for easy transcoding of video (and also happened to be Xgrid-enabled).
Sadly, it was discontinued on the beginning of October 2008

It supported the usual set of iPod, PSP, DV, DVD, AVI, DivX, MP4, WMV, MPEG and Flash formats.
